As Alec wrote in the modern sheet the tracks are way under produced. That seemed to be the problem all along. We were a very dynamic live band but really not good in the studio. None of us were really skilled musicians except for Doug and Ira. I think that's why Nick Venet did a live session, an attempt to capture the live energy. Those live tracks according to Ira were recorded in studio A at capitol records.

Doug wrote: I had absolutely no recollection of that session at the "Modern" studio on Normandie until I read about it on your site just now. But now, I can see it all - the big machines they had (I think downstairs) to press records. It was in a dismal, scary part of town. Somewhere in your correspondence section, Gray Newell mentioned another song called "Leave Me Alone" - I don't remember that.
